Susie M Pryor was born on August 23, 1939 to Paul and Vera Mickels. She accepted Christ at an early age at Benevolent Grove Church in Pittsview, AL

Susie graduated from Oliver High in Seal,AL and obtained a Bachelors degree from Miles College in Birmingham, AL and would later receive a Masters degree from the University of Michigan.  She was an educator with Detroit Public Schools for many years.  She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta sorority. She was a member of Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Southfield, MI.

She is survived by Daughter; Valerie M. Haley and son in law Robert Haley of Duncanville, TX Son; Darryl K. DuBose of Temecula, CA Brothers ; Bennie P. Mickels, Howard E. Mickels (deceased), Thomas P. Mickels, Milton L. Mickels Sisters ; Dorothy Brown, Louise Stringer, Vera A Baylor 3-Grandchildren; Robert E. Haley, Ryan T. Haley, Rachel A. Tutt 4- Great –grandchildren; Robert C. Haley, Amaya Z. Haley, Ava M. Haley, Elijah Z. Haley

She had a host of Nieces and Nephews, Cousins and several friends including lifelong friend Jean Webb of Southfield, MI
