Raymond Herbert Meyers, 89, a longtime resident of Southfield, MI, passed peacefully to be with our Lord Jesus on February 2 ^nd . Loving husband of the late Nancy (Wells), father of Debby (Chuck) Williams and Brian (Janice), grandfather of Jonathan and James, brother of the late Robert Francis. Ray was born in Detroit on December 10, 1927 to Ray and Vivian Meyers. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952 in the 307 ^th Engineer Panel Bridge Company, rebuilding bridges in war torn Germany. Upon returning from his military service he married Nancy and settled in Southfield. Ray was a retired law enforcement officer who loved working with people. A longtime member of Covenant (Southfield) Presbyterian Church, contributions may be sent there in lieu of flowers. Services are on Thursday February 9 ^th ; visitation from 10- 12 PM with service at 1 PM at the Chapel of Haley Funeral Directors 24525 Northwestern Hwy. Southfield.
