Marian Bernice Mizzi-Minore (nee Bates) passed away peacefully December 29, 2020 in Southfield, MI.  Marian was born April 2, 1930 to Walter and Mary Bates in Mt. Clemens, MI.  Marian was the middle sister, she was predeceased by her sisters, Jean Templeton and Dolores Costa.  Marian had no children of her own, but Aunt Bernice as she is known to family is survived by her nieces and nephews, Douglas (Michele) Templeton, Cynthia (Daniel) O'Malley, David (Lynn) Templeton, Carol (Jeff) Lowe, many great nieces and nephews, and two great-great nieces.

Marian married her first husband William Mizzi in the 1950's and they made their home in Southfield, MI.  Marian had a long profession as a dental hygienist working faithfully for the Madorsky dental practice for most of her career.  Marian was predeceased by her first husband.

In 1991 Marian met and married William Minore.  The two enjoyed each other's company and had many travel adventures abroad.  Together they found joy in their backyard pond, Marian fondly named "the water feature".  Sadly, William passed away in 2020.

Although Aunt Bernice had no children of her own, she enjoyed spoiling the little ones who surrounded her.  Her great-nephews were recipients of her love, attention, and Morley Chocolate Easter baskets.

Marian will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, MI next to her first husband, William.  A small service will be held at Holy Sepulchre on January 23, 2020. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Smile Michigan.
