Lenio Varsel Purry, 53 left this life on October 15, 2023, to be with the Lord after his fight with coronary artery disease. Lanio was born on the Fourth of July 1970, in Detroit Michigan, he was the son of Floyd Purry, Jr. and Sarah J. Carson (Purry).
In 1997, Lenio graduated from Breithaupt Vocational Tech Center, Detroit Public Schools. His course of study upon graduation was in Computer
Repair and Electronic systems.
Lenio participated in the Electrical Pre-apprenticeship Program at Wayne County Community College. Lenio was a self-employed Entrepreneur who since his younger years, was driven by the vision to be creative upon himself.
Lenio was a gifted Sound Engineer and worked in Music Production in Detroit Michigan, Atlanta Georgia and New York, New York and many other
venues nationwide and worldwide. Lenio collaborated with many well-known artists throughout his career and was gifted and skilled in music creation and production.
He worked with many production companies, such as NY.LA Music, Universal Records, Dust Science Recordings and Motown Records, etc. During the course of his life, Lenio worked many other professions just as honorable. Customer service, factory and warehouse work.
He was a licensed Hi-Lo driver, but he always returned to his first love, music production.
Surviving Lenio are: Angel Young, loving daughter, Floyd Purry Jr, father, Sarah J. Carson, mother and his devoted sister, Ursula J. Purry, nephews, Darius, Revnell (preceded in death), Khaliel and Chemir. Grand nephews; Cameron, Abel, Darius Xavier. Grand nieces: Ava, Makayla and Arianna. Lenio cared and cherished his relationship with so many of his uncles, aunts, and a host of cousins in Michigan, New York, California and all over the country. Lenio had a special place in his heart for so many neighbors and friends from Mansfield Street and the area of the Schoolcraft neighborhood. Most of all, special recognition and love to two of his close friends Kenny Dickerson and Nelson McDaniel. Who were present and supported Lenio and the family every day during this difficult time.
