Kenneth Ray Carr, 80, born March 21, 1941, peacefully entered into rest on July 26, 2021.

Born in Overton County Tennessee, he came to Michigan as a teenager.   The motor city was a perfect fit for the young, inquisitive teen with a smirky grin.  His entrepreneurial spirit was evident early with paper  routes, pumping gas and learning the mechanical trade.  He ventured into owning his own businesses and was never afraid of failure.

His love of adventure lasted his entire life.  He was a private pilot, motorcycle and car enthusiast and loved motors of any kind.  He could fix anything and never shied away from hard work.

He was the father to five children; Karin Darmanin (Eric), Kathleen Redwine (Joe), Tricia Knauf (Greg), Kenneth Jr,  and the youngest of the family, Kelly Carr.

His grandchildren, all 15 of them, and 2 great grandsons usually got a history lesson or a ride on one of his many motorized toys.  He loved their visits and hearing the stories of their adventures.

Even as dementia began to take some of his memories, he always remembered his younger years and could tell you stories for days.  He was one of a kind.  His storytelling and joking nature will be greatly missed.
