ON April 19, 2021 Janet Mathis, 76, peacefully entered heaven to be with the Lord she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Adele Saffady. She is survived by her aunt, Janet Lavy, several cousins and many friends.

Born in Detroit, and a resident of Southfield, she graduated from Cass Technical High School, worked as a paralegal and sales associate at Hallmark. She loved life and will be greatly missed.

Her wishes were to be cremated with no formal memorial. Please feel free to leave your condolences. Donations can be made to her favorite, Salvation Army.
