Mr. White passed on March 9th in his home in Detroit, Michigan.
Freddie Joseph White Jr was born March 2, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. He was the youngest child born to Freddie Joseph White Sr. and Mirrill (Wamble) White. Everyone who knew him called him Joey.

Joey looked up to his older sister often stating that he would be glad when he was older than her.

Joey attended Lutheran schools and graduated from Lutheran High School West. He attended and graduated from Wayne State University and worked for the federal government before returning to school, University of Detroit Mercy, to obtain a second degree in elementary education. He loved teaching math and science. At the time of his death, Joey was employed by DPS Charter School Academies.
Joey had a lifelong love of animals. He owned cats, snakes, frogs and he even appeared with his tarantula on the front page of the Detroit Free Press. As a teacher, he often brought in fish, turtles and more for science classes. Some of his displays were provided by his niece and nephew from their yard.
Joey was always an outgoing individual. Joey had an infectious smile and was known as the class clown. This sometimes landed him in the principal's office in school. His sense of humor carried into adulthood.
Joey loved music especially playing his electric guitar. He played at the Ethnic festival on Hart plaza several years. He loved his niece and nephew. Joey enjoyed teasing them and playing basketball in the driveway until he was winded.

When his mother moved to assisted living, Joey called her to be sure that she made it to dinner each night.
Joey departed this life on March 9, 2016. He is predeceased by his father and just three weeks ago by his mother.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sister Gail (Robert), niece and nephew Carla and Brian Chapman, an aunt, uncle, cousins, friends and Tiger.

He is now at peace with both his parents.
