Obituary

Mrs. Azeb Abirham Tsegaye, peacefully entered into rest on April 2, 2023 in Detroit, Michigan. Feel free to leave condolences for the family. Azeb Tsegaye was born on May 12, 1970, to Tsegaye Abraha and Webayehu Derseh in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Azeb had left Ethiopia and resided in Italy for a few years and moved to Toronto, Canada as permanent resident where she had met her husband, Hunegnaw Andualem. After years of being together in Windsor, Canada, Azeb and Hunegnaw got married with the presence of their families and friends enjoying their joyful wedding celebration back home in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Soon after, they had their first-born child, Abel, and lived in Canada together. During this time, Azeb was running a business in Windsor, Canada. After a job opportunity arose for her husband in USA, Azeb and Hunegnaw got their Green Card and moved with their son to their current home in Chesterfield, Michigan. After three years, Azeb had welcomed her second child, Zacharias. She ran an art business called A&Z Fine Arts for several years naming the store after her two children. Azeb decided to spend more time with her children and watch them grow up while also helping her husband with his business as an administrator. Azeb was a kind soul, always welcoming to others, and was always glad to help anyone in need. Azeb would always care for others even without them knowing. She had recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and decided it would be best to go through chemotherapy treatment to defeat the cancer she was told to be very aggressive. She had been through medical treatment for a couple of months going through chemotherapy at Henry Ford Cancer Center Hospital in Detroit. Unfortunately, after a hard battle with the cancer, she peacefully passed away on April 2 nd , 2023 at 9:20 A.M. Azeb has touched many hearts and is so loved. She had been surrounded by all her family up to her final moments; so, when she passed, she was not alone. Azeb fulfilled her purpose in this world as a wife, a mother, a friend, and companion. Now she goes on to fulfill the duties that God has for her in the afterlife. She is survived by her husband, Hunegnaw, and her two children, Abel and Zacharias Hunegnaw.
