Obituary

Mr. Anthony Ervin was born April 8, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan, to Frank W. III and Jocelyn F. Ervin. He was the oldest of two children and was affectionately called "Tony."

During Tony's childhood, he attended school in Detroit, Michigan, Atlanta, Georgia, Fort Washington, Maryland and Loveland, Ohio. In 1984, his family moved to Williamsville, New York, a suburb of Buffalo, New York. Tony completed the duration of his education in the Williamsville Central School District. He graduated from Williamsville High School in 1986, where he enjoyed playing on the special teams, offense and defense for the Williamsville High School Varsity Football Team.

After graduating from high school, Tony's parents moved the family to Solon, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, in 1987. During that journey Tony was employed by Ameritech and as a Sous Chef at various restaurants in the area. In 1990, Tony's family made their journey back to Michigan, however, Tony decided to make Strongsville, Ohio, his home. In 2007, he began a career at Brunswick Auto Mart in Brunswick, Ohio, where he was employed for 17 years, starting out as a new car salesman and later being promoted to the position of Sales Manager In 2017, Tony relocated to Michigan and accepted a Sales Manager position at Victory Toyota in Canton, Michigan.

On July 1, 2008, Tony was blessed with a daughter, Peyton Nicole Ervin.  Peyton has held a special place in Tony's heart since the moment she arrived. He enjoyed his time with her and they had many laughs.

Peyton brought so much joy to his life...they were inseparable - like two peas in a pod. Tony never let anything come between his father and daughter time...

Tony lived his life with a jovial spirit. Laughter was his medicine. He had a tradition of telling jokes and displaying his childlike tendencies to his family and friends. Tony had a lot of friends and he took life at face value - life was about having a good time! The only time he took life seriously was during his fatherhood and employment. Tony enjoyed outings with his daughter, friends and family. During baseball season, he enjoyed playing baseball on a team in Cleveland, Ohio where he was the youngest member of the team.

Anthony Frank Ervin (Tony) departed this life on November 25, 2018. He leaves us with lasting memories that will remain in our hearts forever. We will forever cherish the memory of his smile, his laughter, jokes, good nature and steadfast loyalty to his family.

Tony leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Peyton Nicole Ervin; his parents, Frank, III and Jocelyn Ervin, a brother, Kevin L. Ervin, a nephew, Jourdan A. Ervin and a host of other relatives and friends.
